UniWest announces new location and new hires

KENNEWICK, WASHINGTON - January 25, 2022 – United Western Technologies Corp, (DBA UniWest) announces the completion of our move from Pasco, WA to Kennewick, WA, as well as recent hiring of Brian Parks (Mechanical Engineer) and Jerry Sooter (Marketing/Communications Manager).

After 20 plus years in Pasco, UniWest has moved into a renovated facility near Kennewick’s Vista Field. Purchase of the building took place in November 2020. After months of remodeling & enhancements, the move was completed in June 2021. Prior to the move, UniWest operated from two different buildings in downtown Pasco. This move puts all operations under one roof, plus allows for future growth. We look forward to hosting our customers soon!


Brian Parks, UniWest Mechanical Engineer

Parks has over 7 years’ experience at Bruker as Lead Mechanical Engineer where he was involved with mechanical design of the firm’s handheld XRF analyzers. In addition, Parks has a combined 14 years of engineering/product design experience from the automotive and consumer electronics industries. In his new UniWest role as Mechanical Engineer, Brian will be involved in new product design and continuous engineering of current products.


Jerry Sooter, UniWest Marketing Manager

Sooter brings with him 13 years of Marketing experience at Bruker as well as a combined 18 years of NDT manufacturing experience at Staveley NDT and Olympus NDT. In his new UniWest role as Marketing/Communications Manager, Jerry will be involved in many aspects of daily business management, as well as all aspects of marketing.
