UniWest builds a number of special application vision probes that utilize the visual capability of the US-454 eddy current instrument. These visual probes come complete with internal camera and lighting (including UV lighting) and mechanical articulation to access hard-to-reach inspection areas.

EddyView™ Dual-Frequency Eddy Current Instrument with Visual Capabilities
The US-454 dual-frequency eddy current instrument is well suited for data collection in the laboratory and offers both UV and camera capabilities. Screen capture allows the operator to save a bitmap "snapshot" of the screen to save and archive data. The EddyViewTM also features a built-in strip chart recorder. The instrument's x/y outputs on top of the instrument enable data streaming with your automated system.

HiTemp Probe™ Full Color Camera
The HiTemp ProbeTM features a color video-capture camera. It was designed for use under extreme heat conditions and can withstand temperatures of up to 900° F. The telescoping design enables extension from 30 to 126 inches. The probe offers a working diameter of diameter of 1.70 inches. The US-1490 HiTemp ProbeTM is ideal for use in situ examination of gas-fired turbine engines or other extremely hot environments.

UvProbe™ Full Color Camera with Fluorescent Penetrants
The US-1492 UvProbe™ features a full-color camera that projects ultraviolet light through LED lighting. This fluorescent penetrant probe is ideal for use in dark, remote, and hard-to-access areas and features an articulating head and illumination control on the handle. This camera works with the US-454.

VisionProbe™
This low-cost, standard visual inspection probe has a full-color camera, a swivel head that articulates from +90° to −45°, and a control knob at the end of the tube.
