FIELD
Instruments
UniWest designs and manufactures robust eddy current inspection instruments for use in the field. These instruments are trusted and in demand in many markets including: Aerospace, Manufacturing, Tube Inspection, Component Testing, etc. Both the US-454A and US-454 are constructed with modular aluminum cases and large ergonomic protective rubber grips with the end user in mind. The instrument is put through rugged "performance test procedures" and developed to handle daily use in the toughest field environments.
(US-454)
EddyView™ Lightweight Portable Dual-Frequency Eddy Current Instrument with Visual Capabilities
(US-454) The rugged US-454 dual-frequency eddy current instrument is well suited for data collection in the laboratory and offers both UV and camera capabilities. Screen capture allows the operator to save a bitmap "snapshot" of the screen to save and archive data. The Eddy ViewTM also features a built-in strip chart recorder. The instrument's x/y outputs on top of the instrument enable data streaming with your automated system. UniWest can also build specialty visions systems to work with eddy current probes for inspection of hard-to-access areas.

(US-454A)
Lightweight Portable Multi-Frequency Eddy Current Instrument
The US-454A is a portable, hand-held, battery-operated multi-frequency eddy current instrument that can be connected to a laptop, PC and motion controllers for use in semi- or fully automatic data collection applications. Two encoder inputs enable position stamping of data. Pulse-on position input is ideal for motion control applications. Ethernet and USB capabilities allow instrument control along with time/position-stamped data transfer to the client computer.
Built from the rugged US-454 architecture, the US-454A offers single- and multi-frequency inspection, frequency mixing capabilities, enhanced signal-to-noise ratio, USB, Ethernet and data storage capability, and unprecedented digital strip chart data collection.
